I feel bad that I haven't blogged for such a long time. I am still trying to get use to life as a mom. I have quickly found out that being a mom means you eat long after everyone is done eating and only after you have warmed it up in the microwave at least once. It also means that you learn to take advantage of naps that can last anywhere from 2 minutes to 3 hours. You also learn to appreciate the wonder of Oxi Clean. (Where has that been all my stained-clothing's life?) I will forever be amazed at how just a little Oxi Clean can get out what I would call the worst of all "baby blow outs." The final lesson is that of being one-handed. I laugh that my one-handed typing skills are getting better and better each day. I have learned how to cook one-handed, fold laundry one-handed, and do many other things while holding my little bundle of joy. (FYI as of last week at her doctor appointment our little bundle of joy weighed in at 9lbs 9oz.) Life really couldn't be better. I'll be honest, sometimes "cabin fever" gets to me. I am not one that sits around all day...especially inside all day every day. But having a happy healthy baby is worth it. It just makes me more grateful for days like today when the sun is shining. The sun shining helps me to feel like I am still part of the world and not a hermit living in a dark cave. Enjoy the cute pictures of our little Anna. It is fun having a photographer husband. I don't know if I'll every bring myself to actually pay someone to take her picture. Who would pay money when you have a husband who takes hundreds of pictures any chance he gets?

She is such a doll. Isn't it funny what you learn to do with one hand. My sister was amazed to see me shop with three kids and one was strapped to me. I also get the "can I hold something for you" all the time. I just laugh and think this is my life! I absolutely love the picture of Anna on her belly. Devin tried to tell me Kami has more hair, Anna's is just darker- I don't think so!!! Can't wait to hold her!
What a cute kid!!! I also like the one on her belly. I so can't wait to see her.
Today I kinda wished that I could be a hermit in a cave. I feel like I can't get anything done at home. My todo list just keeps getting longer.
What an adorable outfit for her first day at church!! I totally know how you are feeling. But as everyone says, it does get easier, and they do get into a routine so you can get out of the house every once in a while. But life is sooo great being a mom. Glad you are loving it too. PS I have a gift for you, so we will have to get together one day!
I can't believe you all beat me on the first comment. I mean.. I live on the Internet!!
So I tried the one-handed thing yesterday after church. I had to ask for help a few times. I'm not very good at it.
I'm also getting replaced as the "swaddle king." Julie is now better at it than I am.
Darling baby. Congratulations!!! Thanks for your comments on my pictures. We just got back from Disney World on Saturday.
My favorite is the bottom picture. Adorable! I bet you are having the time of your life. (Remember to take some time for yourself so you will always enjoy her.)
She's just darling!
Julie and Devin, she is SOOOOO beautiful! I am so happy for you guys. It was fun seeing more photos of cute Anna when Devin showed us last Thursday night. He just happened to have some adorable photos in his suit pocket...
Good luck being one-handed. you are doing great typing out your post on your blog!
Her dress is so cute!!Well she is just beautiful. Hope everything is going well for! Oh I just want to give her a big kiss. I have a gift that I will be sending out tomorrow.
She is so cute. Hayden likes to say Baby Anna. We need to get together again soon.
She's beautiful! And it's nice to have you blogging again. Don't worry too much about the cave thing--in no time at all you will be out and about and as busy as you were before. But enjoy the cave moments while they last because I promise that one day you will miss them!
It's good to hear from you again on your blog and it was especially fun to see you and Anna in church. I had to keep looking over at you three. It was just so exciting to me! Enjoy every minute of being inside with Anna. She will grow up way too quickly! Don't waste a moment.
You have totally summed up life as a mom with a newborn "one handed." Cute picures-thanks for posting them. She is also a very good size! Healthy happy little girl!
Isn't Oxi Clean the best?! I am truely amazed at what it gets out. Just wait until you start her on solids. I am impressed that you can fold laundry one handed. That is not something I've mastered even after 2 kids.
She is unbelievably darling. So awesome!
