The Update

Several people have asked me how the cleaning organizing project is coming. It is coming along quite nicely. It would be even nicer if it was done. I have included pictures of the current state of this project. If you go back to my original blog pictuers you can really see how far things have come. So far the highlights have been 1. How grateful we are that Shopko has their bookshelves on sale because we are up to 5 bookshelves now. 2. The really nice guy at Office Depot for giving us a sweet deal on our filing cabinets. 3. Laughing at the things I've found. The best being a bird nest that my husband refuses to part with. 4. How great Devin has been at sorting though things. We currently have 3 piles in our living room. One for DI. One to be sold on Ebay. And one that goes to the dumpster. So things are coming along nicely. Summer School ends next week so I will have a few more boxes to bring home, just little stuff. We'll see how close we can get to being finished by the end of the month. If the pictures work right, the first picture is our living room. Then we go up the stairs, don't you love all of the empty crates and baskets. (What do I do with those????) Then we go into the room that had all of my stuff and then the room that had all of Devin's stuff. Enjoy!

Wow! Nice job Julie. It is looking good. A bird nest, really Devin?

What? It's worth $20-40 on ebay!

When we're done we'll have to do a walk-through video. I think it will give you a better idea about how much really went into this project. Julie has done an amazing job cleaning things out, organizing, and talking me into getting rid of some of my stuff.

Wow! You guys have done an amazing job! Way to stick with it. Are those all of your teaching crates?

WOW!!! It looks incredible. You'll be so glad this is done when the baby comes.

I'm jealous of all of those crates! Don't get rid of all of them because soon they will be filled with toys galore :)

I'd say in about two years, you'll be busy making dinner or something, and then you'll go upstairs and find that your baby has taken everything off the shelves, forcing you to start this project all over again.

Not unless she goes to DI and the Ebay buyers and buys everything back, replaces it, then drops a bomb-shell.

Okay, it wasn't quite that bad, but it was pretty close.

Wow! It doesn't look like the same room that we "dumped" all your school stuff in and the office actually has a floor. I didn't see much of that in the first picture. When you're done with your rooms, come and organize my laundry room!

Lokks great! I'm jealous. All of my stuff is in boxes at my mom's house and I can't get to it.
