Big Bertha
Devin has recently been called to work with the scouts. Scouts = Camping trips and this weekend's trip just happened to include the Rabbit Hunt. We will not spend a lot of space or time telling about how horrible of an activity I think killing little rabbits is. The point being: This was Devin's first time away from home since we've been married. It is debatable who missed who more. But for whatever it is worth, I decided to try and be domestic and have a yummy treat waiting for him when he got home. I pulled out a recipe, that I have never made, but I thought, heck! anyone can make bread. So I gave it a try. Needless to say, the bread did turn out great, except for one small factor that I'll remember next time. When making bread, you might want to make two small loaves, instead of one BIG BERTHA, as Devin calls his yummy bread.

I wouldn't call it 'yummy bread,' I would call it 'The absolute best bread anyone could ever eat' bread. It was absolutely incredible!!! Here's how it played out:
I was upstairs in the 'garage' (you know, the garage-like room in the house, full of my tools, storage, and the like) putting my camping stuff away, and Julie came up the stairs holding in her hand a slice of Bertha, smothered with butter melted half-way through. I took one bite and had to sit down.. I didn't want to fall over, you know. Anyway, We both sat down and enjoyed the biggest and most delicious pieces of bread we've ever had.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... can you smell it?
Wow Julie you sure are domestic! what a good little wife!
I think your husband is full of C-R-A-P in regards to the bread.
The first time Eric and I were apart was when he too had to go on a camp out with the scouts. I don't think I made bread.
