For Fall Break we decided to go out to California to visit my grandparents. We haven't been out since before Nicholas was born, so it has been WAY too long.
The kids did great in the car. I am grateful they love looking at books.
They also don't mind watching shows. (Thank you Radek for letting us borrow your DVD player for a week!)
Apples are great car treats. Sticky yes, but the last a long long time.
We stopped at several parks so the kids could get out and play. Nicholas loved all the cool park toys especially the tractor and pirate ship.
It was fun to take the kids to the ranch. They loved feeding the sheep.
Watching my kids at the ranch reminded me so much of how we us to play at the ranch as kids. It really is one of my most favorite places on earth.
Nicholas had some good tractor time. That boy knows exactly what to do to drive. Watch out!
Grandma Upton took Nicholas around.
Anna had a good time "helping."
Nicholas loves being with Grandpa, too bad the sun was in his eyes for this picture.
Everyone always loves watching the sheep.
Leslie was so nice to let the kids play with some of her toys.
Good old Fushabell is still giving out rides to the kids.
Anna had fun helping in the kitchen.
It was so good to see family. I love visiting with all my Upton relatives. We had a great visit with Brenda and Robin, I could talk with them all day! I am glad that the kids were able to spend so much time with Leslie too. She really is the best aunt ever.
Anna and Nicholas loved the cuckoo clock. Every hour they would rush to see the cuckoo come out. Anna was stuck at the table eating and about had a complete melt down because she was stuck and couldn't get to the clock on time.
Devin had a great time working over at the ranch with Grandpa. I wish that we lived closer so Devin could help out more. He loves being over there working alongside Grandpa. They had fun cleaning out the barn, and bombing and shooting the squirrels. Grandpa gave us a bunch of starts from his grape vines. They are planted and hopefully they will grow just like Grandpa's. I would love to have a little bit of the ranch at my house.
It was a wonderful visit. I love my family in California so much.
