Read the Box

Devin loves Macaroni & Cheese. Not the "real" name bran stuff, but just plain old cheep Western Family kind. I have found that I actually like the cheep stuff too so it works out great. Well, the other day we were stocking up on Mac and Cheese and I noticed that there was a recipe on the back of the box. When it comes to cooking, I lack all the confidence in the world. But I do think I have good taste when it comes to what is good food and what is not. We kind of figure the companies wouldn't put a recipe on the back of the box that was really disgusting. The recipe on the back of the box actually looked really good. Devin has been guilty of mixing all sorts of inappropriate things in with our Mac and Cheese, the worst being beef jerky. After the beef jerky episode I think the only thing that he has dared to mix in is sour cream. Anyway, the box had a recipe for Ranch Chicken Mac. Hey, anything with ranch, chicken, and tomatoes usually is a winner. We tried it out this last week and it was FANTASTIC!!!!!! It defiantly gets four stars in our cook book. So for those of you who are Mac and Cheese fans here is a great twist on a classic. Enjoy the great recipe we found, simply by reading the back of the box.

1 (7.25 oz) Wester Family Macaroni and Cheese Dinner
1 (10 oz) can Canned Chicken, Drained

These are the kind of recipes I like. Simple and easy to understand. Only problem is, I know my boys wouldn't eat this. I'll have to dish up the plain mac and cheese for them and then add all the good stuff for me. Thanks for sharing the recipe. I have never looked on the box for a recipe. Oh, Braxton says, "Bother"

Thanks for posting this. We tried it for dinner and last night and it was a hit! Quick, yummy and easy--that's my kind of recipe.

Clint and I lived on pasta roni the first two years of our marriage. Now I'm not sure why. My kids would probably love this recipe - thanks!
