Disneyland Day #2

Daylight Savings and a different time zone helped our kids get up REALLY early on Tuesday.  We had no problem getting up and being ready long before the park opened.
Here is the view of the park from just outside our hotel room.
The kids were pretty excited to get going.
Devin was too, can you tell?
When we got to the security check they told us that there would be a bit of a wait because they were filming a movie.   Good old Tom Hanks was there filming the movie Saving Mr. Banks.  Somehow I am a little skeptical of how well Tom Hanks can portray Walt Disney.  I'm just not seeing it, AT ALL!!!
But thanks to the filming we got to walk behind Main Street. It was kid of fun to see everything back there.
Because this trip was about our kids, not us, we would just ask them what they wanted to do, and that is what we would do.  The rockets, or Astro Orbitor was the first pick.  Nicholas loved it!!!
Anna had a great time too.  She is one crazy driver!
We went to breakfast at the Plaza Inn.  They had a fun character breakfast buffet, the french toast was to die for!!!!
Minne was the first one that can to visit us.

 Then Eeyore.

Anna was excited to see Winnie the Pooh.
But not as excited as Nicholas.
When Nicholas saw Tigger he ran right up to him.  He hit Tigger with so much force that it knocked Tigger over.

Tigger was lots of fun. He kept teasing the kids, they loved every second of it.
The Fairy Godmother was fun too.
She just cuddled up with the kids and visited with them for quite a while.  She had Nicholas beep her nose, it was pretty cute.
Once breakfast was over, we were off to ride more rides.
We hid Astro Orbitor again.
Then we were off to Fantasyland.   Anna picked Alice in Wonderland first.  She got freaked out a little by the Queen of Hearts.  She told us that she did not want to go on that ride again.  I started to worry that if Alice in Wonderland scared her, we would really be in trouble.
We did some time on the teacups and a few other rides.  They were closing Fantasyland because they were filming more.  Thanks a lot Tom Hanks!!!

We went  to Toon Town next.  Anna picked Gadget's Go Coaster next.  She was excited to go on her first "big" ride that she would need her brave boots for.

She did great, she loved it.  It was fun going on her first "big" ride with her.  As soon as it was done, she wanted to go again.  Way to go Anna!
Nicholas was perfectly happy playing on all the cars and other fun things to climb on in Toon Town.

Because she had so much fun, Anna wanted to go on another "big" ride.  Off we went to Big Thunder Railroad.  As you can see the "Brave Boots" help her smack her head on the height bar.  Each time we would go on a ride we told her to go hit her head on the bar.  She thought it was funny.
Devin went with Anna the first time.  Once again, she LOVED it!!!
We went on the Winnie the Pooh ride, had some lunch, and then it was time for Splash Mountain.  No pictures, but trust me, nothing but smiles!!!
Nicholas didn't mind waiting for Anna, because he was able to spend more time with his friends Pooh and Tigger.  He just went around and around so he could see them again and again.

The kids had fun playing with their balloons that they got at breakfast all day.
Then we went on Haunted Mansion.  I was worried that this would really scare Anna and Nicholas.  But they have everything decked out for Christmas.  It was so much fun the the Nightmare Before Christmas stuff.  I wish they would leave it like that all year round.  It makes the ride so much fun for the kids.
We then had a short photo shoot with a duck.  Anyone who knows Devin, will know that these are only two out of a million pictures that he took of this duck.

We went on Pirates of the Caribbean and Nicholas fell asleep.  SCORE!!  If you are looking for a nice calm ride that is long enough for a kid to fall asleep on, Pirates is the perfect ride.  Anytime he needed a nap we went on that ride and he was out cold.
While Nicholas was sleeping Anna went on ride after ride.  She/we all had so much fun.

By dinner time Anna was pretty tired.
Nicholas was ready to go after his long nap.  He loved "driving" the cars at Autopia.
We went back to Toon Town and and went on her favorite little roller coaster over and over.  We lost track how many times she went on it.
Nicholas had tons of fun playing in Goofy's Playhouse.

We went on the Buzz Lightyear ride a whole bunch of times until the park closed.  Nicholas loved Buzz!!
By the time the park closed Anna was completely worn out.
Nicholas on the other hand, was just talking up a storm.  Luckily he went right to sleep when we got back to our hotel.

okay what a fun trip you guys went on. I ADORE the ones of Nicholas hugging Winnie the Pooh and Tigger and giving the characters hugs and kisses. So sweet!
