Friday was our last day. Crazy, the week just flew by. Before we went to the parks for the last time we had everyone help make a list. We wrote down everything that we wanted to do that would make each person happy. Then we just hit the list hoping that we would get it all done (which we did, yeah!). The kids were excited for one last day.
Devin took the kids to Cars Land and I went to get Fast Passes for Radiator Springs Racers. The line for the Fast Passes was HUGE!!! The picture doesn't do it justice. Can you see the people through the arch way down there? Well at the end of that street is the end of the line and the line twists and bends all over the place and I am standing looking back and I am about in the middle of the line. Crazy! They said that they usually run out of Fast Passes by 10am each day. Wow!
We spent some great time riding Mater's ride. That was something all of us wanted to do again.
Then Anna bit the bullet and went on Hollywood Tower of Terror. (Ok, so we told her if she went we would buy her a Mickey Mouse ice cream bar. She went, didn't cry, but didn't want to go again no matter how much Mommy begged. (It is my favorite ride. Ah, the sacrifices we make for our children.)
Nicholas continued his horrible habit of kicking his shoes off and pulling off his socks. He did this every day all day. It was really annoying!
Both kids wanted to ride the rides in Bugs Land again. We were happy that the lines were really, really, short.
Nicholas loved Heimlich's Chew Chew Train.
Anna and Daddy did too. They also like to make faces.
Nicholas also loved the Little Mermaid ride. I think it is great. An awesome classic Disney story ride. Anna finally got over thinking it was scary and she ended up liking it too.
Both kids like the Phineas and Ferb dance party parade. They wouldn't dance with the kids out infront of everyone, but they sure had a their own private dance party behind the crowd.
We made sure to hit Radiator Springs Racers again. I guess Disney hasn't worked the bugs out yet. We went on the ride just before noon and the workers said, as we were waiting because it had broken down again, that it had broken down seven times so far that morning. I am glad that we had a Fast Pass.
Anna really wanted to wait to go on the ride so we stuck it out. For a long time!!! She was happy waiting playing with the chains.
And running up and down the lines.
We ended up waiting and hour, not my cup of tea, but we figured this would be the last time. It is a really fun ride.
While we were waiting in line Devin was able to check one of his things off our list. Get a really big corn dog. Nicholas loved his and ate the whole thing.
He also had time to take his shoes off a few more times.
Mater was all decked out for Christmas.
We took our family shot at Cars Land. They aren't the best pictures, but you know how it is. The minute you try to take a nice picture your children explode!
We then went back over to Disneyland to finish up the day.
Thanks to our favorite Pirates ride Nicholas was able to take a nice nap.
Anna took the last plunge and went on Space Mountain. For the first time in my life I am grateful that we got in line right after a bunch of cheerleaders. Normally I find them annoying and loud. This time however, they were cheering Anna on the whole time. Talking to her, telling her how cute she is and how awesome it is that she would go on such a cool ride.
Anna had so much fun. As soon as the ride ended she asked if she could go again. "That ride was so much fun Mommy, it is my new favorite!" YEAH!!!!!
We did bribe her with Cotton Candy to go on it, but I don't think we will need to do that again.
We were lucky enough to be at Disneyland on Friday. They finished all the Christmas decorations and it was so pretty. I love the lights on It's A Small World. I also love all the Christmas stuff they add to the ride.
We took time to do something very important...buy Nicholas is Mickey Ears.
It was also cool that they were doing their special Christmas firework show that night. It was a great way to start the holidays. I love how they make it snow at the very end. Pretty cool Disney!
We let the kids pick out something to take home. Nicholas saw the Mickey and wouldn't let go. The Buzz Blaster was love at first sight too.
I had to laugh that Anna picked a Little Mermaid doll set, considering that it took her all week and at least 5 times on the ride before she started to like it. As you can see, she insisted on sleeping with it.
Devin did a great job getting us home. We hit a major snow storm from St. George to Nephi. I didn't freak out too bad, but it was pretty scary. We were so glad when we finally made it home around midnight.
It was a great trip. We came to some good conclusions about Disneyland. We love Disneyland for our kids at this age. They can ride most of the rides and the parks are smaller. As much as I love Disney World, Disneyland was just right for our kids. We can't wait to go again when Nicholas is 40 inches tall.

We had a great trip. We are so glad that we went. We are glad that even though Anna was 40 inches tall we bought her some boots to make her just a bit taller. They became the "Brave Boots" that helped her to be brave on any ride. Nicholas loved wearing the "Brave Boots" too. Anna keeps telling him that when he gets bigger we will buy him his own boots to help him be brave to go on the rides.
Our kids did great on the drive home. Nicholas was happy to hold Mickey and his blaster most of the ride home.Devin did a great job getting us home. We hit a major snow storm from St. George to Nephi. I didn't freak out too bad, but it was pretty scary. We were so glad when we finally made it home around midnight.
