Mobile Moments November 2012

Surprisingly enough I only have 33 phone pictures for the month of November.
Enjoy the "short" phone picture post.
Anna filled up her good behavior chart at preschool and was able to pick a prize.  She was pretty excited.
We pulled out our garden and Anna was more than happy to help smash everything into our garbage can.
Anna and Nicholas love to pretend to be mermaids.
Nicholas loves his Mickey ears.  He wears them all the time.  Doesn't he look super cute with them on?
It is always a happy day at the Baldwin house when the Conference Ensign FINALLY shows up in the mail.
Anna and Nicholas had lots of fun dressing up like fairies one morning.
Nicholas enjoys dressing up like a fairy way more than his daddy would like him to.
The kids worked really hard to get their jobs done and when they were all done the reward they picked was coloring.  I am glad they both enjoy coloring.
Nicholas is starting to get really good at puzzles.  He still has a ways to go, but he loves to try.
Devin and the kids were having a little shoe party one night.  Anna loves Devin's boots. Nicholas can't get enough of Anna's boots.  And well... Devin has some nice box shoes going on.
On our way up to the Henderson Thanksgiving party we saw some pretty awesome rainbows.  It was a double full rainbow and both were the most bright rainbows I have seen in a long time.
Nicholas was helping Puppy play the piano.
Anna and Nicholas were able to have a lot of good time to play in our leaves.  The weather was great and we went out each day and raked more and more leaves.  The kids both love jumping in the piles.

We colored turkeys for Family Home Evening and wrote all the things that we were grateful for on the back of the feathers.  Devin did quite the coloring job on his turkey.
Anna was having fun making Play Doh jewelry.
Pam gave Nicholas his own Blue puppy for his birthday.  Blue is his new best friend.
I am glad that Nick's birthday was a nice sunny day.  I love taking our kids to the temple for their birthdays.
Anna is a great helper.  She loves helping Devin get food from the cold storage to stock my pantry. She has some pretty awesome muscles.
Devin was nice enough to put our Christmas lights up over Thanksgiving break.  He started to put lights up on our tree.  His hoe worked pretty well.  But it didn't take long for us to realize that we would need about 10 more sets of lights to make the tree look really good.  Oh, well.  At least we got a good laugh out of Devin using his hoe to put up the lights.

One Sunday afternoon while Nicholas was sleeping Devin and Anna got really bored. They used Nick's train tracks and built quite the ramp.

Doesn't it look like the Pine Wood Derby?
This is my new best friend.  My Shark Mop.  Can I tell you how nice it is to be able to mop my floors quickly.  I love it!!!!!!
Nicholas loves the Lego farm that he got from Grandma and Grandpa Baldwin.  He is such a good boy to share all the pieces with Anna.
Nicholas loves bananas.  He could eat 3 a day if I let him.
Our Black Friday shopping delivered right to our door.  Long Live Amazon.com!!!
Anna was having fun dressing up in all the old bibs and washcloths.  She said she was a a soccer player.  I have a hard time seeing that, but ok.
Nicholas has stopping napping, but he still could use a nap.  He was playing with his trains and almost fell asleep.  He would open his eyes a bit and smile at Percy then close his eyes again.
The kids have discovered how fun the air vents can be with a balloon.  It's like magic!
Every once and a while the kids play really well together.  They pull out all the toys and have a real "Toy Story" moment.  I love it when all the toys come together.  It is so much fun to watch.
I pulled out all my Christmas books and made 24 stacks.   Christmas books are by far my most favorite Christmas tradition.
There you have it.  Not too much excitement for November, but plenty of good times.

Thanksgiving 2012

Thanksgiving was lots of fun.  We started off with the extended Henderson family the Sunday before Thanksgiving.  It is so nice to be able to go to the rink, the Henderson family is so huge!  It was really fun watching Anna play with her cousins.  It reminds me so much of when I was a kid playing with my cousins at the rinks.  Anna had a great time skating, bouncing, and playing games.

Nicholas was in heaven running everywhere.
It is so nice to go to the rink when it is just our family.  I don't have to worry about where my kids are, they can just run wild.  Devin was so nice to take Nicholas on all the inflatable slides.  The kids also love playing all the games for free.  Spencer had quite the pile of tickets by the time he was done playing.
It is always nice to have time to visit with my Henderson family.
Anna had a Thanksgiving party in preschool and they learned how to make butter.  She was so cute and just had to use her butter on everything.
We were lucky enough to have Pam stay with us a few days before Thanksgiving.  We sure love spending time with her.  The kids can't get enough of her.  Pam was great and taught the kids about gourds.
She had them help her get the seeds out.  She taught us a lot about how to pick out the best seeds.
Thanksgiving day we wen to my mom's house. She was brave and had us use her china.
It was a nice dinner.  It was fun to be with my family.  It is crazy to think that 2008 was the last time that I was with my family for Thanksgiving. (Nicholas and I had our own private Thanksgiving feast in the hospital the year he was born.)
Tommy was nice to read Nicholas stories and to play with him.  Nicholas loves playing with Tommy and Spencer.
Devin was more than happy to help lick the pie that got stuck to the plastic wrap.
Anna and Sadie had tons of fun playing together.  They were pretty cute doing puppet shows.  This blurry picture doesn't do it justice, but trust me it was cute!
It was a good day.  Nicholas completely lost it by the end of the day.  We ended up leaving early because he was such a train wreck.  Poor kid.  It was nice that we were able to take him home and let him sleep in his own bed.  We didn't even do any Black Friday shopping in the stores...weird!   There were so many deals on line, I figured it wasn't worth saving the $1 to go stand in line.  Most prices were just as good if not better, and I could do all my shopping in my pjs.  Beside that we just wanted to have a nice day for Nicholas since it was his birthday.
Thanksgiving was great overall.  I love spending time with my family.  I wish that we could see all our family more often.

Happy Birthday Nicholas

Nicholas is now two!  He had a great birthday, even though we don't have the pictures to prove it.  I don't know why we didn't take more pictures, probably because we were just playing with him all day.
He had fun opening presents in the morning.
He was so excited to get his own train.  He plays with it all the time.  He is such a smart boy.  He knows how to fit the track together.  It is fun to watch him build his own tracks.
We did take Nicholas to the temple for his annual photo shoot.   This was my favorite shot.
Nicholas and Anna had a fun time jumping on the green boxes.

Things didn't really work out to have a party with it being the day after Thanksgiving.  We were shocked to look back and see how few pictures we had.  Bad parents. :(
We sure love Nicholas.  He is the cutest boy ever.  I love how he sing all the time.  He is getting really good at remembering all the words to songs.  Here he is singing his three favorite Christmas songs.  (Please ignore the drool and the runny nose, and his cute little stuffy voice, poor kid has been sick.)
Nicholas has the best laugh.  He loves playing with Devin.  Devin can get some really good laughs out of him.
Nicholas has grown up so much lately.  He talks all the time and is very, very polite.  He has this cute little, "May I please..."  that he says and knows that mommy can't resist.
Happy 2nd Birthday Nicholas!
